About Me

Michael S. Sofman, M.D. hails from Cranford, NJ. After graduating from Georgetown University, he attended UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School, graduating in 1985. He spent a year at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh doing an Internal Medicine internship, then went on to a dermatology residency at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He served as Chief Resident in Dermatology in 1988-89. He was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1989, and has served on the volunteer medical staff in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami. He has been listed in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Consumers’ Research Council’s America’s Top Physicians, Castle Connolly’s America’s Top Doctors – one of the Top Doctors in the country as listed by US News & World Report.
